The UC3M is launching new degrees for 2025/26 and modifying some existing programs
4/2/25
The Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) continues to expand and adapt its educational offer with the incorporation of new degrees and changes to existing programs. This transformation responds to the need to offer training in areas of high demand, aligned with global trends in technology, sustainability and science, and adapted to the expectations of the labor market. In the coming academic years, it will affect the student body of the Carlos III International School (C3IS).

From the 2025/26 academic year, the new degree programs will include:
- Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence. A program focused on providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop in the field of artificial intelligence, a rapidly growing field of great global relevance.
- Bachelor in Applied Mathematics. A degree that will train students in the applications of mathematics to various sectors, such as technology, engineering, economics and the social sciences.
- Bachelor in Urban Sustainability. This degree, which will be developed in collaboration with European universities within the YUFE Alliance, will enable students to face environmental and sustainability challenges in cities, contributing to the transformation towards more sustainable urban environments.
- Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences. Although this degree appears on the University's website, it is scheduled to be implemented in the 2026/27 academic year, so it will not be offered in 2025/26.
In addition, several existing degrees will change their names from 2025/26 to reflect more precisely the focus of the programs and new academic and professional demands:
- Bachelor in Data Analysis for Business (formerly: Degree in Statistics and Business).
- Dual Bachelor in Journalism and Digital Humanities (formerly: Journalism and Humanities).
- Bachelor in Digital Humanities (formerly: Degree in Humanities).
- Bachelor in Internet and Cybersecurity Engineering (formerly: Degree in Telematics Engineering).
- Bachelor in Sound and Image Engineering with Artificial Intelligence (formerly: Degree in Sound and Image Engineering).
On the other hand, the Bachelor in Neuroscience, which began this year, is also in the process of expansion and will not be available to international students until the 2026/27 academic year. All new degrees will be available to international students from the start of the third year of the degree course.
With these new degrees and changes to the academic offering, the Carlos III International School reinforces its commitment to internationalization and the training of professionals capable of facing the challenges of the future in key areas such as artificial intelligence, applied mathematics, sustainability and biomedical sciences.
