This course will focus on the new challenges that today's society demands in biomedicine.

Two different approaches will be proposed.

The first approach will deal with new research in biomedical fields, always from the engineering point of view.

The second will try to stabilize the new developments in robotics and electronic devices that are being implemented for medical issues.

In this specialized course for students at George Mason University, participants will learn about the challenges and opportunities facing Europe at the social, political and economic levels. The global economic crisis, human rights, refugees and immigration are some of the issues that will be addressed, and students will visit various state institutions and museums as well as several NGOs.

Course formed by students of 'International Business' from the universities of Mannheim (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), Paris-Dauphine (France) and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (first year of the Business Administration or Economics Degrees). The objective of the course is to learn to identify the keys to business management in a globalized and multicultural world, through lectures and visits to leading companies and institutions.

The course will present an overview of some of the new learning tools and methodologies currently used in engineering education. It will show some of the contributions that are being implemented in Biomedicine, both from Systems Engineering and Automation and Bioengineering perspectives, at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. The course will be given entirely in English.

The objective of this program is to provide the necessary tools and skills for the development of a professional career in the field of business, administration and transactional agreements in tax matters. The course provides participants with a broad and general overview of arbitration processes and tax procedures. Students will complete the theoretical training with guided visits to institutions.

This specialized course in university training in Engineering consists of a first part in which a review of engineering education in the 21st century is given, and where the theoretical sessions are complemented with visits to the Polytechnic School of the Leganés campus and the UC3M Science Park, and in the second part of the course, the main sources of renewable energy and related technology are analyzed. The program also includes various cultural activities outside UC3M, such as visits to Madrid, museums and an excursion to the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial

Global leaders act in a pluralistic planet with fewer and fewer borders due to the intense globalization present today. This course explores the multicultural influences in Spanish history, from the Muslim occupation during the Al-Andalus era, through the re-establishment of the Spanish Empire, to the current period with the integration of Spain into the European Union. These historical contexts are used as examples to illustrate the importance of globally thinking leaders capable of creating value beyond the narrow confines of an individual's culture..

In this course, participants explore the challenges and opportunities facing Europe at this time, such as the global economic crisis, urban social movements, youth unemployment, changes in migration patterns, etc. On the other hand, students visit several Spanish government agencies (such as the Bank of Spain or the Madrid City Council) as well as several NGOs (such as RESCATE or CEAR). In addition, a visit to the Valley of the Fallen, Toledo and Seville (weekend trip) is included..
