Engineering Research Labs in Madrid

Engineering Research in Madrid | C3IS & UCEAP

Engineering Research Labs in Madrid is a collaborative program between Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP), providing a premier environment for technical engineering education.

During June and July, participants engage in an academic immersion structured around two core pillars:

  • Integration into Research Laboratories: Students join research teams at the UC3M School of Engineering to work under the mentorship of researchers. They collaborate directly on research projects of their choice, applying scientific methodologies in real-world development settings to contribute to ongoing research lines.
  • Ethics for Engineers: Complementing the research practice, this course examines ethics not as a barrier to progress, but as a guide for it. The curriculum covers fundamental topics ranging from personal freedom and responsibility to the challenges of artificial intelligence, sustainability, and intellectual property

Registration for Selected Participants

This program is exclusively available to students selected by the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP). If you have been selected to participate, please formalize your registration through the link below to ensure your laboratory assignment and access to academic resources:
