    The aim of the Master in Computer Technologies Applied to the Financial Sector is to provide the graduate students with the knowledge needed to develop financial markets-oriented software. The development covers all stages of the life-cycle of the software, from conception to maintenance, analysis, design, implementation and verification.

    This Master, developed from an original idea of Comunytek Consultores S.L. and promoted by different companies of the area, is a Master with a strong professional approach which offers specialization in a sector where labor needs – computer technologies and ICTs professionals - are very high.

    In the Master in Computer Technologies Applied to the Financial Sector, the students receive training in technological aspects, although also in financial markets’ key aspects. f you want to learn more about the four areas covered by this Master, access by streaming to the Primera Jornada sobre Tecnologías de la Computación Aplicadas en el Sector Financiero, that was held at BBVA Innovation Center.

      The request is made electronically through our application. Before starting the admission process it is important to consult the supporting information that we offer below:

      Requirements

      As established by the Spanish Royal Decree 1393/2007, as amended by the Royal Decree 861/2010.

      Students must hold a degree in Computer/Telecommunication Engineering (any speciality), or a similar qualification related to ICTs.

      Student Profile

      This Master’s Degree is intended for persons with a clear technical profile, including graduates in ICTs-related Engineerings. These graduates usually have the basic knowledge needed for this Master’s Degree, including:

      • Basic knowledge in project development and management, with an emphasis on software projects;
      • Knowledge and skills needed to develop software in classical programming languages;
      • Basic knowledge in information and communication systems; and
      • English – Intermediate level

      It worth mentioning that students are not assumed to have any knowledge in financial markets, because it is covered in this Master’s Degree.

      Language requirements

      You can check the language requirements of the generic language required to study for a Master at UC3M, depending on whether it is in Spanish, English or bilingual.

      Foreign students

      Once admitted to the Master, foreign students with university degree issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EEES, must present, for enrollment, the diploma attesting equivalent training that allows access to postgraduate studies, legalized by diplomatic procedures, or “The Hague Convention Apostille”. More information about Legalization of Documents.

      If needed, documents must be accompanied by an official sworn translation into Spanish.

      • Place Reservation: 600€ (It will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master, and deducted from the first tuition payment)

      60 ECTS in the first academic year:

      • EU students: 5.700 € (95€ / ECTS)
      • Non EU students: 9.000€ (150€ / ECTS)

      Additional information

      • You can register on the Master’s degree program when you have finished the application admission process and you have received your acceptance.
      • When performing the enrollment you can choose between Full-time enrollment or Part-time enrollment.
      • The email address which the University provides to the student upon enrollment will be used principally for communications with said student. For this reason, it is essential that it be actualized and periodically consulted.
      • Failure to make payment shall result in non-admission or termination of enrollment according to that established by the University. In case of annulment of registration because of failure to make payment, Universities can demand payment for previous enrollment in earlier academic years as a previous condition for enrollment.
        Universities shall not issue a diploma or certificate when a student has payments of any kind pending.

  • SCHOLARSHIPS

    UC3M Scholarships for the Year 2018/2019 *

    CALL AM01-18/19

    For the academic year 2018-19 has been published a call for a maximum of 4 grants for payment of the net enrollment rates for students accepted into the Master, with the following provision:

    • 4 grants of € 1,500

    Application deadline: 31st May 2018.

    Two possible resolutions: March or June 2018.


    The number of grants specified in the Annex to the notice, may vary depending on the conditions of the candidates who apply to them, can be even deserted as assessed by the Selection Committee for each program.

      The program of the Master in Computer Technologies Applied to the Financial Sector requires to perform an internship in a specialized company on financial technologies. To facilitate such goal, Universidad Carlos III of Madrid has signed several agreements with the main companies of this area which will allow the students to participate, through fellowships, in the main innovation and development teams of the financial sector. All the internships are paid and compatible with the master's schedule. If you are already working in financial technologies, the internship could be recognized with you current job.

      Las empresas colaboradoras del máster ofrecen contratos laborales a los estudiantes del máster del curso 2018/2019. Para acceder a los procesos de selección de estos puestos, los estudiantes deben estar aceptados en el Máster, en su edición 2018/2019, y haber realizado la reserva de plaza.

      La dirección del máster no intervendrá, en ningún caso, en dichos procesos de selección, ni puede garantizar que los alumnos finalmente accedan a uno de los puestos de trabajo ofertados.

      Aquellos alumnos que obtengan uno de los empleos ofertados, podrán solicitar el reconocimiento de los créditos de Prácticas Académicas en Empresa.
