    The MSc in Marketing at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is a one year full time program offered in Madrid (Spain). The program is designed to provide a high quality specialization in the marketing discipline with an international perspective.

    The hallmark of our program combines the rigor of cutting-edge analytic tools embedded by academic researchers, with the down-to-earth contribution of experienced professionals.

    This program offers you specialization in 2 areas of marketing: 

    • MARKETING MANAGEMENT, aimed at students who are interested in a general career in marketing.
    • ​DIGITAL MARKETING, aimed at students who are interested in focusing on strategies and practices in digital marketing.

    Also, you can strengthen your job market value by graduating with two master’s degrees in two years: MSc in Marketing - UC3M and MSc in Business Intelligence and Analytics - Stevens Institute of Technology, in NY, USA. With our dual degree, you will focus your career on a distinct field of study: marketing analytics.       The request is made electronically through our application. Before starting the admission process, please, read the following information:

      Requirements

      All applicants must have a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree (three or more years of university studies) from an official university. Students in the last year of their Bachelor’s studies may also apply for admission; their application will be considered upon confirmation that they have successfully completed their Bachelor’s programme.

       

      Admission criteria

      Admission will be decided by the Master Academic Committee. The Committee will search for the best candidates for the program on the basis of the following criteria:

      • Academic Excellence: Successful applicants will have excellent bachelor’s degree results and the appropriate education to make the most of the programme. The Committee value the presentation of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) results, and other courses as evidences in candidates’ education.
      • English language: The Committee will analyse the accreditations presented by the applicants, giving priority to the most satisfactory ones.
      • Interviews: At discretion, interviews may be used to evaluate and assess a candidate's fit with our program.

      language requirements

      Since English is the official language of the programme, a high level of written and spoken English is required. This knowledge can be accredited with the results of an official C1 English diploma (CEFR) including evaluation of the 4 areas: listening, reading, speaking and writing. As a general rule, the following minimum scores for other certificates are required:

      • TOEFL (iBT): 95-120
      • IELTS: 7.0 - 8.0
      • Cambridge ESOL: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
      • TOIEC (Four skills): 1096 - 1345

      The language requirements will not be required to those students whose mother tongue is English or students who have completed their undergraduate studies in English, upon presentation of the relevant documentation.

      students with foreign university degrees

      Once admitted to the Master’s, students with university degrees issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EHEA, must provide, for enrolment, the diploma, legalized by diplomatic procedures or by means of The Hague Apostille. They must also submit the transcript of records, with the grade point average, duly legalized.

      If needed, documents must be accompanied by an official sworn translation into Spanish.

      TUITION FEES*

      Reservation fee: €1,500

      • it will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master’s, and deducted from the first tuition payment
      • the reservation fee will only be refunded if the master program is cancelled

      60 ECTS in the first academic year:

      • EU students: €9,000 (€150/ECTS credit)
      • Non EU students: €13,500 (€225/ECTS credit)

      NOTE: the indicated public prices do not include in any case, neither the ECTS corresponding to the Formative Complements that the student must take (only master's degrees with previous Formative Complements), nor the cost of issuing the master’s degree certificate.

      Additional information

      • You may enrol on the master’s degree after completing the admission process and receiving formal confirmation of your acceptance.
      • When performing the enrolment you can choose between Full-time enrolment or Part-time enrolment.
      • The email address provided upon enrolment will be used for formal communications; students are therefore kindly requested to check their mail regularly.
      • Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the enrolment process will be terminated. In cases of cancellation of enrolment due to non-payment, the University may demand the payment of the pending amounts for enrolment in previous academic courses as a prior condition of enrolment.
        No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.

    UC3M SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025

    CALL AM01-24/25 *

    For the academic year 2024-2025 a call has been published for a maximum of 10 scholarships for payment of the net enrolment fees for students accepted into the Master’s, with the following provision:

    • 5 scholarships of €1,500
    • 5 scholarships of €3,000

    To apply, you must have completed the application for admission to the Master’s.

    * The number of grants and amounts specified in the call, may vary depending on the conditions of the candidates who apply to them, can be even deserted as assessed by the Selection Committee for each program.

    International Programs

    The Master of Science in Marketing at UC3M offers students a unique opportunity to extend their curriculum.

    EXTEND YOUR STUDIES

    Students can extend their studies by studying complementary disciplines, ranging from Finance, Management, Information Systems, or Accountancy, to Economics, and languages to improve their curriculum by visiting prestigious universities, in a period of 3 months (September – December), after finishing the regular program, under 2 different exchange programs:

    • EXTENSION PROGRAM IN THE USA. (12 months in Madrid + 4 months in NYC)
      Upon completion of the master’s in marketing program in Madrid, our students have the opportunity to extend their education at BARUCH COLLEGE, Zicklin School Of Business (City University of New York, CUNY) in NYC, the USA.
    • EXTENSION PROGRAM IN EUROPE . (12 months in Madrid + 4 months in Europe)
      Upon completion of the Master in Marketing program in Madrid, our students have the opportunity to extend their education at other European institutions such as Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), WHU (Germany), Maastricht & Tilburg (The Netherlands). These agreements are integrated into the LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAM: HIGHER EDUCATION (ERASMUS +).

    Official recognition

    Students receive formal recognition for their academic study period abroad in the transcript of records and in the degree certificate.
     

    Admission

    Interested students must request admission to the International Program to the Master’s direction (at the end of the second term). The admission to the program will be decided by the Master’s direction on the basis of the academic excellence. There are a limited number of places available.

    After being admitted into the International Complement program, the enrolment application and fees for any subject in our partner universities will be managed directly from Universidad Carlos III.

    The University will offer scholarships for all the students admitted to the program, awarded on the basis of academic excellence/record within the Master’s.

    Incoming Students should check the scholar calendar. Course registration changes can be done the first week of September (till Sep 6th for 1st semester) or the first week of January (till Jan 11th for 2nd semester). It is compulsory to attend classes. Exams are on-site. Distance exams are not allowed.

    DUAL DEGREE: UC3M - STEVENS INSTIUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (NY, USA)

    Master of Science in Marketing (UC3M) AND Master of Science in Business Intelligence and Analytics (Stevens institute of technology)

    The UC3M-MKT is taught over an 11-month period, and it is organized in four 7-week terms. During each of the first three terms, the students complete 15 ECTS credits. During the final term, the students complete 9 ECTS and start an End-of Master project for 6 credits. The project is often completed during the summer.

    The coordinated program will recognize some of the courses taken at UC3M to count for 12 credits toward the Stevens MBIA degree. The following credit conversion is established: 6 ECTS = 3 US credit hours. The following courses are deemed equivalent:

    The students will complete these courses during their first year in Madrid. Upon arrival at Stevens, the students would complete the following courses:

    Stevens Semester 1:

    Since all of Stevens's programs are STEM-designated, you could pursue employment in the US right after your graduation from Stevens.

    All students admitted to this coordinated program will receive a scholarship of $10,000.
