Competences and skills that will be acquired and learning results.

Knowledge level of a second language of interest in the field of International Studies and Social Sciences, which allows students to communicate fluently and consult all kinds of documentary sources.

The required level for passing the subject is B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

"The student can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization. The student can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. The student can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options".

Second Language can be one of these:

  • German - B2
  • French - B2
  • Italian - B2
  • Portuguese - B2

Any other language of interest in the field of International Studies, previous individual assessment of the documentation provided by the student.

Asesment system

PASS:

The required level for passing the subject is B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Accreditation for German, French, Italian and Portuguese languages will perform:

Official certificates:

If you have an official certificate of B2 level, you can send it through this form.

Pass the corresponding language test at the UC3M Language Center.

If the student wants the assessment of a different language certificate, must submit an application to the PIC with all the necessary documentation, which will be assessed by the Rector.

Accreditation can be made between the months of September and June, regardless of the semester in which the subject is enrolled. Check the test schedule.

QUALIFICATION:

Pass the subject involves 'PASS' mark, so doesn't affect to your Grade Point Average.
