The UC3M Teaching Model: Innovation and Academic Excellence

At Carlos III University in Madrid, we are committed to a dynamic educational model that combines academic rigour with a practical approach geared towards today’s professional environment.

Our teaching is primarily face-to-face, encouraging direct interaction between lecturers and students to ensure a high-quality education.

Each module will be organised as follows:

  • Two 90-minute sessions per week, designed to explore key concepts and their real-world application in depth. In some of the more experiment-based degree programmes, there may be additional sessions throughout the semester.
  • Laboratory sessions, in those subjects where required, incorporating practical experiments in state-of-the-art facilities to enhance technical learning.

Class sizes will generally range from 40 to a maximum of 60 students, depending on the degree programme.

In the degree programmes of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences, one of the weekly sessions will be a lecture-style session, bringing together several teaching groups, with mainly theoretical content.

Cross-curricular subjects
