The Master’s in Human Resources Management aims to provide university graduates with the knowledge and skills required for a successful career in HR management.
The Master’s programme is taught by a highly proficient faculty of both academics and practitioners. The values of rigour, applicability and personal respect underpin the programme’s content and structure.
The programme provides a gateway to a variety of career opportunities in consulting firms and corporate HR departments in public, private, national, international, and non-profit organizations. Graduates are regularly employed by top-tier companies such as Airbus, Amadeus, Banco Santander, BBVA, Baker & McKenzie, Boston Consulting Group, Coca Cola, Deloitte, EY, Indra, INECO, Management Solutions, Manpower Group, Repsol, and Vodafone.
Besides studying the Master entirely at the UC3M in Madrid, students may also study the second semester either at the Institut de Gestion Sociale (IGS) in Paris (Madrid-Paris track) or at the London South Bank University (LSBU) (Madrid-London track), receiving two Master’s diplomas, one from each institution.

The Master’s curriculum is taught over two terms.
- In the first term (September-January), students take eight compulsory courses exploring the role of Human Resources Management (HRM), as well as the part played within organizations by other critical management activities. This term is organized as a “mini-MBA”.
- In the second term (February-June), the program focuses fully on HRM, offering a number of highly specialized courses, which are similar in content across the Madrid, Madrid-London, and Madrid-Paris tracks.
- Students on the two international tracks (Madrid-London and Madrid-Paris) receive two Master’s diplomas, one from the UC3M and the other from either London South Bank University or Institut de Gestion Sociale.
- Students are required to attend all lectures and seminars on any track.

Students choosing either the Madrid-Paris track or the Madrid-London track will be required to enrol for 48 ECTS in the first term and for the 12 ECTS of the master’s thesis at the end of the second term.

Requirements
Applicants are to hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (from any country). Students in the last year of their degree studies may also apply for admission; their application will be considered upon confirmation of the successful completion of their degree course.
Admission criteria
Admission will be decided by the Master’s Academic Committee. Candidate selection will be done on the basis of the following criteria:

Since English is the official language of the programme, a high level of written and spoken English is required. This knowledge can be accredited with the results of an official C1 English diploma (CEFR) including evaluation of the 4 areas: listening, reading, speaking and writing. As a general rule, the following minimum scores for other certificates are required:
- TOEFL (iBT): 95-120
- IELTS: 7.0 - 8.0
- Cambridge ESOL: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- TOIEC (Four skills): 1096 - 1345
- Linguaskill: 180+
The language requirements will not be required to those students whose mother tongue is English or students who have completed their undergraduate studies in English, upon presentation of the relevant documentation.
students with foreign university degrees
Once admitted to the Master’s, students with university degrees issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EHEA, must provide, for enrolment, the diploma, legalized by diplomatic procedures or by means of The Hague Apostille. They must also submit the transcript of records, with the grade point average, duly legalized.

- Information about Full-time enrollment.
- The email address provided upon enrollment will be used for formal communications; students are therefore kindly requested to check their mail regularly.
- Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the erollment proecess will be terminated. In cases of cancellation of enrollment due to non-payment, the University may demand the payment of the pending amounts for enrollment in previous academic courses as a prior condition of enrollment.
- The enrollment fee will be not refunded in the event of voluntary withdrawal from the programme.
- No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.

UC3M GRANTS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022
CALL AM01-21/22 *
A call has been announced for academic year 2021-2022 involving a maximum of eight grants for the payment of the net enrolment fees for students accepted on the Master at the "Madrid" track, with the following allocation:
- Eight grants for the sum of €4,500, €3,000, or €1,500
These grants are open solely to those students that have submitted their application for admission to the Master.

Resolutions: February, April and June 2021
* The number of grants and the sums specified in the annex to the call may vary depending on the status of the candidates applying for the same, and even no grants may be awarded if so decided by the Selection Committee for each programme.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/21
The Master in Human Resources Management will be taught next academic year 2020/21 partly Synchronous Online Teaching combining with on Campus* small classes to ensure the prevention and social distancing measures in classrooms.
All students must have the necessary equipment to follow classes remotely (device with internet connection and webcam. See Student’s Guide). Due to the restrictions in the use of computer rooms on Campus it may be necessary to take your own computer equipment for its use in the classroom.
UC3M has a laptop loan program for students who need it.
*Students who cannot attend to on Campus classes, due to difficulties or delays obtaining their visas, border closures, or similar issues, will be able to follow classes in a Synchronous Online Teaching system until they are able to arrive to on Campus classes.
