A total of 18 electives, each worth 3 ECTS credits, are offered, from which students have to choose 10. Three educational tracks are defined for electives in order to steer students towards the acquisition of a homogeneous skill set. It is not, however, compulsory for students to follow any particular track, in which case they will acquire a more multidisciplinary training.
The Master's thesis, which is worth 18 credits, will involve writing and presenting a research paper addressing any one of the curriculum areas at a public meeting before an examination panel. There are no pre-established faculty members associated with the master's thesis, although each paper will be supervised of one or more members of the Department of Computer Science who hold a PhD.
