The curriculum for the Bachelor's Degree in Sound and Image Engineering, updated in 2025, responds to the current needs of the audiovisual industry and incorporates the study of advanced Artificial Intelligence techniques applied to the processing, generation and distribution of audiovisual signals and content.

In addition, a specific Artificial Intelligence track has been created in the curriculum, which will be reflected in the Suplemento Europeo al Título (SET) of students who complete it. To complete it, students must earn 12 ECTS credits through specific elective courses, which are listed below: AI track

  • Graph analysis and visualization for social networks (3 ECTS)
  • Deep Learning Applications in Communications (3 ECTS)
  • Machine Learning for Astronomy and Astrophysics (3 ECTS)
  • Deep Learning for the Analysis of Images (3 ECTS)
  • Tools for Technology Management with Artificial Intelligence (3 ECTS)
  • Artificial Intelligence as the new scientific computing paradigm (3 ECTS)
  • Natural Language Processing (3 ECTS)
  • Audio technologies for virtual reality (3 ECTS)
  • Internet Networking Technologies for Big Data (3 ECTS)
  • Music Technologies (3 ECTS)
  • External Academic Internships (6 ECTS): It must be demonstrated that academic practices include the use of Artificial Intelligence technologies.

With this curriculum, the Bachelor's Degree in Sound and Image Engineering is at the forefront of technological training in the sector, educating future professionals who will be leaders in the use of AI in sound and image.
