The Spanish courses are designed for students, teachers and staff of the Universidad Carlos III as well as for other students from outside the UC3M.
Our methodology is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The courses are taught by specialised teachers with an extensive experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Methodology
- Methodology based on the communicative approach.
- The working language on the courses is Spanish from the complete beginner level.
- Small group size.
- Language levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: From A1.
- Diploma certifying duration of the course, qualification and level attained.
- The courses are open to students and staff of the UC3M as well as to the general public from outside the University. The latter need to hold a secondary education qualification ('bachillerato') to enrol on the course.

- Yearlong Spanish course - 600 hours
- Summer course at the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo campus - 40 hours.
- Intensive course in August - 40 hours
- Semester course - 40 hours
- Conversation course - 20 hours
- Intensive course in January - 40 hours
Official exams
The Language Centre of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is official examination centre for DELE and SIELE exams.
