Summer course at Madrid-Puerta de Toledo campus

This is the course

Use your stay in Madrid to learn Spanish in immersion at the UC3M campus in Puerta de Toledo, located in the centre of the city.

The UC3M Language Centre offers weekly intensive courses in which a communicative approach is followed and in which you will develop all the skills of the language, both oral and written.

Enjoy learning Spanish in a multicultural environment and in small groups!.

Schedule

Duration: 40 hours of face-to-face lessons (exam included)

Location: Madrid - Puerta de Toledo campus

ETCS credits: 4*

* The home University will be the institution which decides to grant credits.

Dates: from July 01 to 12, 2024

Timetable: From Monday to Friday

  • First session: 10:00 - 12:00
  • Second session: 12:30 - 14:30

Levels

All levels and sub-levels from A1 to C1 are offered, provided there are enough students enrolled in the level. Interested students who have previous knowledge of the language, please take the online placement test to determine which course you can join.

Fees

  • Students and UC3M community: 275€
  • Outside the UC3M: 325€

Discounts

5% discount for students enrolled in the previous semester courses.

Registration

Registration period: from May 27 to June 19, 2024.

  • Fill in the REGISTRATION FORM
  • If you have previous knowlegde of the language, take the level test to determine which course you can take. The link to the test will be available when you submit the form.
  • If you do not have previous knowledge of the language, you will not have to take the level test, you will be assigned level A1.1 (beginner).
  • Objectives
    • Engage in comprehensive work in all communicative competences, oral as well as written.
    • Acquire the tools necessary to improve oral fluency appropriate to the level.
    • Improve and broaden the student’s lexical range.
    • Work towards attaining grammatical accuracy.
  • Assessment
    • Grade for participation and progress in class: 30%
    • Grade for homework, assignments and autonomous work: 30%
    • Final exam grade: 40%
  • Attendance

    ATTENDANCE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN CREDITS

    A student may only be absent for up to 20% of the course (8 hours) for any reason.

    A student who fails to meet the attendance requirement for any reason will be allowed to take the final examination but will not receive credit.
