    This is the only MBA Program offered at UC3M and the only one accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA). It is also the only Master’s degree with a double international accreditation (AMBA and AACSB).

    The MBA is an 11-month, full-time program delivered in English and has a long tradition within the university as it has been offered for almost 20 years. Classes take place on weekdays, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the university’s unique campus in downtown Madrid (Puerta de Toledo). Students are highly international and have an average of over 5 years work experience. Faculty includes a balanced mix of business consultants, managers, and academics, with degrees from top international universities.

    As part of the MBA, students participate in the development of high-technology start-ups. They benefit from a unique partnership with the university’s Science Park and business incubator which allows them to work side by side with high tech entrepreneurs and inventors. This partnership has been nominated by AMBA for the 2020 Business School Innovation Award.

    As a public institution we are committed to equal opportunity, which is why we offer competitive fees which are low compared to private schools. The tuition cost of the MBA is €19,800 in general and €13,500 for European Union nationals. Because UC3M is a state-owned university, low fees do not imply any compromise in our  standards of quality, as proven by our double international accreditation and by the hundreds of students who have graduated from our program since 2000 and who have successful professional careers around the world and in the most diverse industries.

    The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the most pressing business challenges of today, with a particular emphasis on digitalization, sustainability, and internationalization. But the MBA is more than its curriculum: it is a life-changing experience.

      The request is made electronically through our application. Before starting the admission process it is important to consult the supporting information that we offer below:

      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree. Foreign applicants must possess an equivalent degree (three or more years of university studies) from an official university.
      • Work experience: at least three years.

       

      Admission criteria

      Admission to the MBA Program is highly selective and is based on merit grounds. The admission process is individualized and we do not require GMAT because we use a more personalized approach to assess the quality of the candidates.

      Admission will be decided by the Master’s Academic Committee. Candidate selection will be done on the basis of the following criteria:

      *Measured in terms of average (or expected) mark in BSc (or equivalent) Degree

       

      IMPORTANT

      Because visa application processes can be lengthy, we advise international candidates to submit their application to the MBA as soon as possible and to also contact their Spanish consulate early to make sure they can conclude the visa application process on time.

      Language Requirements

      Since English is the official language of the program, a high level of knowledge of written and spoken English is required. This knowledge can be credited with the results of the TOEFL or IELTS, the Certificate of English at the Carlos III University of Madrid, or Cambridge ESOL.

      Proof of English Command:

      • TOEFL (hard-copy exam): score of 550
      • TOEFL (Internet exam): score of 79
      • IELTS: average score of 7.0
      • Cambridge ESOL: Certifcate in Advanced English (CAE) Common European Framework (Languages): C1 level
      • TOEIC: Listening + Reading: 945 ; Speaking + Writing: 360

      Students whose native language is English and students who have completed their Bachelor's university studies in English will have the English test requirement waived, upon presentation of the corresponding documentation.

      Supporting Documents required with the application form:

      students with foreign university degrees

      Once admitted to the Master’s, students with university degrees issued by a higher education institution belonging to an educational system outside the EHEA, must provide, for enrolment, the diploma, legalized by diplomatic procedures or by means of The Hague Apostille. They must also submit the transcript of records, with the grade point average, duly legalized.

      If needed, documents must be accompanied by an official sworn translation into Spanish.

      Reservation fee: €3,000 

      • it will be paid once the student receives notification of admission to the master’s, and deducted from the first tuition payment
      • the reservation fee will only be refunded if the master program is cancelled

      60 ECTS in the first academic year:

      • EU students: €13,500 (€225/ECTS credit)
      • Non EU students: €19,800 (€330/ECTS credit)

      Additional information

      • You may enrol on the master’s degree after completing the admission process and receiving formal confirmation of your acceptance.
      • When performing the enrolment you can choose between Full-time enrolment or Part-time enrolment.
      • The email address provided upon enrolment will be used for formal communications; students are therefore kindly requested to check their mail regularly.
      • Pursuant to the regulations of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, a student failing to pay any part of the fees will not be admitted and the enrolment process will be terminated. In cases of cancellation of enrolment due to non-payment, the University may demand the payment of the pending amounts for enrolment in previous academic courses as a prior condition of enrolment.
        No diploma or certificate will be issued if a student has any outstanding payments.

    UC3M GRANTS FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

    CALL AM01-21/22 *

    For the academic year 2021-2022 a call has been published for a maximum of 1 grant for payment of the net enrolment fees for students accepted into the Master’s, with the following provision:

    • 1 grant of € 3,000

    To apply, you must have completed the application for admission to the Master’s.

    * The number of grants and amounts specified in the Annex to the notice may vary depending on the conditions of the candidates who apply for them. They may not even be allocated if decided so by the Selection Committee for each programme.

    MASTER’S COURSE SCHEDULE

    IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/21

    In the next academic year 2020/21 the Master in Business Administration (MBA) will be taught partly online and partly on campus. First semester classes, from September to December 2020, will be online, and all second semester classes (from January to July 2021) will be taught on campus. First semester exams will also be on campus. Schedules will be published shortly under the “Practical Information” tab and will be adjusted to the students’ time zones.
    These adjustments have been made with the support of the accreditation agencies and the diploma that students will receive will have all the accreditations (AMBA and AACSB).
    All students must have the necessary equipment to follow classes remotely (device with internet connection and webcam. See Student’s Guide). Due to the restrictions in the use of computer rooms on Campus it may be necessary to take your own computer equipment for its use in the classroom.
    UC3M has a laptop loan program for students who need it.
