This Master is organized by the Universities of Santiago de Compostela, A Coruña, Vigo, Carlos III de Madrid and Politécnica de Madrid, following the fusion between their Master in Mathematical Engineering and Industrial Mathematics.
- Specialties in Modeling and Numerical Simulation, highly demanded technologies.
- Teaching aiming at devising solutions to specific industrial problems.
- Simultaneous face-to-face classes in the master's classrooms of the five universities using a specific videoconferencing system.
- Most of the classes are recorded. The recordings are used as study support material. Enrolled students have access to this material.
- Internships in companies of various sectors, which provide case studies for your Master's Thesis.
The Interuniversity Master in Industrial Mathematics meets:
- Educational requirements for Industrial Mathematics at professional Master level highlighted by both the European Union and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in the “Global Science Forum”. Report on Mathematics in Industry, 2008.
- The requirements of the European curriculum development project ECMIMIM (Erasmus project - Curriculum Development: LifeLong Learning program) approved and funded by the European Union and endorsed by the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI). This has involved the introduction of a Master to include the subject matter recommended by the nine project contributors, among them the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
- Universidad Carlos III is a Teaching Center of ECMI.
