ORIENTACION PSICOLOGICA

UC3M is aware of the increase in mental health problems in our society, and in particular in our university community. Together we must face up to an important challenge, preventing and treating emerging psychological problems in students at an early stage.

The university period is a period of special relevance in evolutionary development. This stage presents a series of characteristics that may favour the appearance of difficulties and disorders: adaptation to a new environment, academic demands, new relationships, distancing from the family environment, etc.

If you think that you need help, that you have some symptoms and/or unpleasant intense emotions that you find it difficult to manage properly (anxiety, mood problems, difficulties in interpersonal relationships, etc.), register with our Psychological and Psychopedagogical Service. We will try to help you as best as possible to improve your state of mind. Not all problems are the same, some are easily solved and others require much more work and effort, so we will work in a personalised way.

We also invite you to browse the resources we have prepared for you, they can be of great help. To deal with moments of anxiety, depression, uncertainty and to reinforce your self-esteem, you can sign up for one of the workshops and sessions of the Emotional Wellbeing Programme for this academic year. They are a complement to your academic and life journey.

We have reached the maximum number of students we can cater for at all campuses. We are leaving the waiting list open.

Cómo solicitar cita con nuestros psicólogos/as

Asesoria de drogas y adicciones

If you want to be seen you have to register and make a single payment of 30 euros. From then on, you will be able to request face-to-face and/or online appointments with your psychologist and be seen throughout the course as many times as your case requires, depending on the availability of the professional who will see you. We advise you to check the times and days of each of our psychologists before requesting an appointment.

Due to the high demand for the service, not all students enrolled will be able to be seen in individual therapy. The first assessment interviews will always be individual, but in cases where it is considered appropriate, the student will be referred to psychological care in group format. The Unified Protocol for the transdiagnostic treatment of emotional disorders has proved to be very effective for group therapy.

TWO GROUP THERAPY GROUPS ARE OPEN
They will be held on the following days:

 GETAFE CAMPUS GROUP: Thursday mornings, from 11.30 to 13.30 h.; 8, 15, 22 and 29 February, 7, 14 and 21 March and 4 and 11 April.
 LEGANÉS CAMPUS GROUP: Wednesday afternoons, from 4 to 6 p.m.; 7, 14, 21 and 28 February, 6, 13 and 20 April and 3 and 10 April.

Registration: Group therapy form.

In order for the Psychological Service to be able to provide the necessary professional, quality and regular services, there will be a maximum number of students enrolled. All our team of psychologists has a full timetable, so we have opened a waiting list.
