3/14/23

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has launched the fourth edition of the “10 R+D+i challenges to innovate together” programme, promoted by the Vice Chancellor’s Office for Scientific Policy to promote innovation in the business ecosystem through the University’s multidisciplinary research.

La UC3M presenta la nueva edición “10 retos en I+D+i para innovar juntos”

The ten programmes being presented in this edition are: “Towards technological sovereignty”, “The quantum era, from communications to computing”, “Exoskeletons and immersive, hybrid and inclusive robotics”, “For an increasingly sustainable and electric world”, “Online fraud and biometrics as a trusted response”, “The moment of disruption in cultural industries”, “The metaverse, science or fiction?”, “Artificial intelligence for more efficient logistics”, “Expanding IoT to connect everything” and “The ‘Great Resignation’ and talent management”.

Researchers from different areas of the university have participated in its development. This initiative shows UC3M’s R+D+I capabilities to address the most relevant challenges in the field of open innovation, through multidisciplinary collaboration between companies and experts from different organisations and areas of knowledge.

Representatives from the Ministries of Innovation, Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and from the business sector participated in the presentation, which took place on the 14th of March at the UC3M Science Park.

The “R+D+i challenges to innovate together” programme is part of the “UC3M plan to promote innovation and transfer R+D results in the Community of Madrid’s productive sector with priority in the southern metropolitan area” (reference OI2018/PC-UC3M-5152), granted in the 2018 call for aid to boost technological innovation and promote the transfer of technology to the productive sector, and is 25% co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, with another 25% by the Community of Madrid in the framework of the ERDF 2014-2020 operational programme.
