Cedrion has been awarded in the category of “Most Sustainable and Impactful Start-up”, with a prize that includes attendance in June 2025 in the USA to a course organized by the MIT Sloan School of Business Administration and Management. Altum Sequencing has been selected as one of the three finalists in the category of “Most Innovative Start-up led by women”. In addition, the spin-off Evidence Based Behavior (eB2) was one of the most requested by investors at this event, with more than a dozen meetings arranged.

Cedrion CTI, S.L. is a pioneer in the application of ionic wind for the purification and disinfection of environments and materials in sanitary and biosanitary environments. They also apply the same technology for the cooling of electronic components in key sectors such as aerospace and automotive. Altum Sequencing S.L. develops technology that allows detecting cancer cells with high resolution, differentiating patients with high risk of relapse, helping oncologists to decide treatment, and patients to understand the evolution of their disease. Evidence-Based Behavior S.L. develops solutions for the management and improvement of mental health, emotional well-being and occupational health through Artificial Intelligence and mobile technologies.

UC3M recently signed a collaboration agreement with the MIT Alumni Entrepreneurship Forum Spain to promote and boost the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem of the University and the Community of Madrid, installing a new international entrepreneurship and innovation center on the UC3M Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus.

Among the actions planned within the framework of this agreement are those that promote knowledge-based entrepreneurship, the internationalization of technology-based startups, the attraction of MIT entrepreneurs and the promotion of their relationship with UC3M research groups. In addition, the node will launch a complete training and mentoring program, with the MIT methodology, for entrepreneurial staff and startups that will culminate with the organization of the 14th Edition of the Entrepreneurship Forum of Spain (MITEFS) at UC3M’s Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus in 2025.
