    What is Summer English Campus?

    The Language Center at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid offers secondary school students in the month of July: SUMMER ENGLISH CAMPUS.

    SUMMER ENGLISH CAMPUS is a different way to practice English that offers students a fun and dynamic way to continue improving their English in the summer.

    What it ISN’T:

    • It ISN’T a boring English class.
    • It ISN’T spending the summer studying.
    • It ISN’T a remedial class.

    What it IS:

    • It IS improving your fluency in English.
    • It IS making Friends.
    • It IS improving your English.


    Organization of the course

    • Timetable: 10:00 to 13:30 h (break of 30')
    • Location:  Getafe and Colmenarejo campuses
    • Dates: July 1st  to 12th 
    • Fee: 190€
    • Registration: April 1st to June 9th, 2019

    Registration procedure

    • Fill out the registration form HERE.
    • The student will take a an on-line level test that th eLanguage Center will send by email. 
    • The student should wait to receive confirmation of the pre-inscription and make the payment of the course fees after receiving this confirmation.

    Formation of groups will depend on the existing demand. 

    Objectives and methodology

    To consolidate and expand the knowledge of the English language from a different perspective: English as a communication tool and as an individual’s way of expression for studies, travels and career.

    This is an intensive course where all language skills will be practised: reading comprehension, written expression, oral expression and interaction, listening comprehension.

    Through the communicative approach, students will be able to improve their comprehension and expression as well as expanding their vocabulary and the use of set-phrases, gaining fluency and accuracy. The methodology employed includes the use of interviews, role-plays, sketches, games and activities based on the viewing of segments from movies and tv series, in a open-minded and participative class atmosphere.
