I am an international exchange student; do I have to pay fees for the Spanish courses?
The courses offered by the UC3M Language Center are not integrated into a specific academic degree program; rather, they are open to the entire university community. Therefore, they require payment if your home university does not cover the costs of the Spanish course.
Will the Spanish course appear on my final Transcript of Records?
No, since it is not a subject included in the degree programs. If you pass the course, we will send you a diploma with the level completed and the final grade.
If I want to continue studying the following term, will I have to take the level test again?
If, after passing a course, you wish to move on to the next level, it is not necessary to take the level test.
If more than three months have passed since you finished the previous course, it is necessary to take it.
Will I be awarded credits for taking a Spanish course?
The 40-hour general Spanish courses for visiting students are equivalent to 4 ECTS. In any case, it is your home university that must decide whether it will recognize the credits for the Spanish course.
If I enrol in a course and in the end, I am unable to take it, can I get a refund?
We recommend that you review the cancellation policy for each course, which you will find published on the website of the course.
After having passed a course, if I want to continue studying Spanish, do I have to enrol in the next level or can I move on to a more advanced level?
If you wish to enrol in a more advanced level, you will need to have obtained an outstanding grade sobresaliente and have the approval of the Language Centre.
