Japanese courses

The Japanese courses are designed for the Universidad Carlos III students as well as for other students from outside the UC3M who wish to enrol on the courses.

All courses are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are taught by specialised teachers with an extensive experience in teaching the language.

Methodology

  • Methodology based on the communicative approach
  • Small group size
  • Teaching levels based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: from A1
  • Diploma certifying duration of the course, level and qualification attained
  • The courses are open to students and staff of the UC3M as well as members of the public from outside the University. The latter need to hold a secondary education qualification (‘bachillerato’) to enrol on the course.

The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test, commonly known as Nôken (JLPT in English), was established by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (formerly, Association of International Education, Japan) in 1984 as a test to measure and certify the Japanese-language proficiency of those whose native language is not Japanese.
