This Master's degree aims to offer specialised and rigorous training by effectively combining the theoretical dimensions of business management training with a specific and highly valuable practical focus on the fashion and beauty sector, bearing in mind the achievement of sustainable development goals, such as responsible production and consumption and climate action.
The fashion and beauty business ecosystem has been completely transformed over the last decade: manufacturing and logistics processes, society's perception of companies and their brands, consumer habits, marketing channels, communication. Everything is different. In view of these changes, it is necessary to train a new generation of managers.
The Master's programme aims to offer a highly professional path for continuing to learn how to manage a company in the world of fashion and beauty, training professionals through a qualified and specialised knowledge base and raising their awareness of corporate social responsibility within the industry (contributing to the resolution of development and environmental sustainability issues, etc.).
- PROGRAM
Module I: Fundamentals of the fashion and beauty industry and responsible business. 6 credits
Coord.: Nicola Giorgi. Bologna Business SchoolThis module lays the foundations for the fashion and beauty industry and its specific characteristics (a brief history of fashion and its main players). The world of fashion encompasses products in which creativity, technology and excellence contribute to creating a product that consumers appreciate as such. Students will learn the fundamentals of brand value creation as applied to the fashion and beauty market, brand value models, the main methods of perceptual brand image analysis, and the elements that make up the DNA of a brand in this sector. They will also study the importance of fashion and beauty in the global economy and the increasingly important link between positive values such as sustainability and premium brands.

Students will learn to manage product design, from the initial idea to the marketing campaign, through three lines: intangibles, the product/service, and consumers. They will learn to design a product/service for the fashion and beauty industry, control and manage production, and analyse the steps in the process to optimise resources and achieve sustainability goals.Module III: Sustainable business opportunities and strategic diagnosis in the fashion and beauty sector. 6 credits
