What is UC3M e-mail?

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid provides you with an email account for academic and personal use.

Your email address is composed of your Student Identification Number or NIA (100xxxxxx) that we have already sent you by email, followed by @alumnos.uc3m.es.

An example would be 100123456@alumnos.uc3m.es.

What is the UC3M e-mail and NIA for?

It is very important that your email account is active because you will need your NIA and password for online registration. We recommend you to have it up to date, as your professors and the administrative services of the university will contact you through this channel.

In addition, with your UC3M email and your NIA you will be able to access all university services, such as the Aula Global, the online enrollment application, library loans, study room rentals, cultural and sports activities reservations, and many more!

You will also be able to access Google's suite of applications, having unlimited storage in Google Drive.

How do I activate my UC3M e-mail account?

To activate your UC3M e-mail account and be able to access all our services, follow these simple steps:

  1. Get your Student Identification Number (NIA). Go to this link and get your username by entering your ID and your date of birth.
  2. Access the account activation page. Within the link, click on the "Are you an International/Mobility student?" option. Then select "Activate account with other methods".
  3. Register with your NIA (100xxxxxx) and follow the instructions on the page.

Once I activate my account, how do I log in?

If you have followed the above steps correctly and have already activated your account, log in to Gmail (mail.google.com) and enter your new UC3M email account (e.g. 100123456@alumnos.uc3m.es) and the password you have chosen.

What do I do if I forget my password or have a problem with my account?

Don't worry. If you forget your password, you can use our "Change your password" service to generate a new one. You will then be able to log in to your account again.
