    The Master trains specialists in foreign trade and international business of the Spanish economy and familiarizes the student with the processes of global globalization of commerce and the economy. It instructs you in the resources needed to function within that framework and in the techniques to successfully address the objective of competing in international markets. It also prepares the student to work in the International Department of a company (export, investment), providing for this purpose a practical and direct-useful training.

    And all this, giving special attention to areas particularly relevant in this context, such as the process of internationalization of the company, international logistics, international marketing, international contracting, European competition law, international taxation, system of public support for internationalization, business in Latin America, etc.

  • ADMISSION
    • ADMISSION

      It is an essential requirement for admission as a student to be in possession Degree of graduate, graduate, architect, engineer, technical architect, technical engineer, graduates or similar.

      Documents to be provided:

      • Application form
      • Certificate of studies.
      • Photocopy of the Degree (Bachelor, Engineer).
      • Curriculum vitae.
      • Photocopy D.N.I. or passport Candidate letter stating the reasons for taking this Master.
      • Two letters of recommendation.
      • If you are going to request tuition assistance you must also submit, Motivation letter, Time availability form and rent of the family unit.

      Applicants may be summoned to an interview, which they may conduct in person or by videoconference.

      Pre-registration

      The Directorate will study the applications as they are received, taking into account the academic record of the candidates. Admission will be communicated to each student via email.

      The pre-registration period will end once the total number of places offered has been covered.

      If the places in the first pre-registration are not covered, a second term will be opened in September until the vacancies are filled.

    • REGISTRATION

      Registration

      Cost of the Master:

      The registration fee is 9,000 euros, which must be paid in 3 installments. This amount covers the costs of registration, teaching, all teaching material, use of the Library, and registration to the Professional Guidance Service (SOPP).

      Payment of tuition:     

      • First payment: € 1000, once the admission to the Master has been notified in writing.     
      • Second payment: € 4,000, the payment deadline is October 31, 2018.     
      • Third payment: € 4,000, has the payment deadline on March 15, 2019.


      Those students who, under any circumstance, cannot finally attend the Master or have to leave it, will not be entitled to the refund of the amounts paid from the enrollment.

      The minimum number of students enrolled to be able to celebrate the Master's Degree will be 20, with the maximum number of students admitted to 40.

    Career Oportunities

    Students will become part of the database of the Guidance and Professional Planning Service of the Foundation (SOPP) of the Carlos III University of Madrid, which allows access to internships and employment contracts in collaboration with more than 1000 selected companies . Some of them have been: Repsol YPF, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, Campofrío, TNT, BMW, Santana Motor, etc.

    Registration aids for the Máster en Comercio Exterior for the 2018/19 academic year

    The Master in Foreign Trade grants financial aid to talented students and students who need financial help.

    For the academic year 2018-19, a maximum of 6 study aids for an amount of up to 2,000 euros each of the total cost of the master's degree are convened for students enrolled in the Master in Foreign Trade, 20th edition, 2018-2019 academic year, to deduct from the third payment of the tuition ,.

    Your beneficiaries will carry out collaborative work with the Master.

    Those students benefiting from some type of external financing will be excluded from this call.

    Deadline to apply for the scholarship: June 15, 2018.

    Resolution date: June 30, 2018.

    IMPORTANT

    The number of grants and amounts specified, will finally be determined based on the number of students enrolled, and may vary depending on the conditions of the candidates who qualify for them, and may even be deserted according to the assessment of the Selection Committee of the Máster en Comercio Exterior    

    For the granting of the scholarship it will be an essential requirement to have paid the reservation of the Master's place.

    Aids for academic excellence

    The Máster en Comercio Exterior will offer scholarships of excellence for students who are studying for the master's degree and who have obtained the best academic record at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year.

    The amount and number of scholarships, will be determined at the beginning of the academic year, depending on the number of students enrolled, and may vary depending on the results demonstrated by the students who opt for them, and may even be deserted according to the assessment of the Council Management of the Máster en Comercio Exterior

    Aids information will be given to students, who are taking the Master, at the beginning of the academic year.

  • PRACTICAL INFORMATION

    Duration and timetable

    • The duration of the Master is one academic year, beginning classes in October 2019 and ending in June 2020.   
    • Classes will be taught in afternoon sessions from Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 9pm.
    • The theoretical credits will be obtained by passing exams, one for each module, in which students must answer a series of questions or solve a practical assumption related to the subject taught.
    • Likewise, the preparation and defense of a Master's final project will be mandatory, which will be judged by a tribunal composed of the faculty participating in it.     
    • The Máster en Comerico Exterior offers students who are interested, the possibility of carrying out internships (not mandatory) in public organizations and private institutions linked to the practice of Foreign Trade, becoming part of the Guidance Service database and Professional Planning of the Foundation (SOPP) of the Carlos III Madrid University.     
    • It is necessary, for the obtaining of the title, the overcoming of all the modules in which the program is divided and the overcoming of the final Master project.

    Methodology

    • Evaluation: conducting periodic exams, case studies or oral presentations, at the end of each of the modules taught and holding an exam, through the preparation of a final year project. 
    • Degree: Students who have passed the evaluation system will obtain the Master's Degree in Foreign Trade.
