
Telematic Engineering Department, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
The Telematic Engineering Department, formed by a team of about 100 people, has a long history of teaching and research activity, recognition and proven experience at national and international level in R&D projects, training and consulting in the field of Telematics. The Telematic Engineering Department is composed of two official research groups recognized by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid: the Telematic Applications and Services Group (GAST) and the Network Technologies Group (NETTEC).

The UNESCO Chair receives the Best Paper Award at IEEE DEMOcon 2025 with the paper “Enhancing Microcredential Design through Agentic Artificial Intelligence,” led by Rebiha Kemcha and co-authored by Carlos Alario-Hoyos and Carlos Delgado Kloos.
