RESEARCH STAY AT UC3M: DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS.

Project: Study orthogonal polynomials of several variables in both continuous and discrete settings and study, in particular, the Sobolev orthogonal polynomials on regular domains. For special weight functions, explore the connection between cubature rules and common zeros of orthogonal polynomials.

In the context of approximation theory and harmonic analysis, investigate orthogonal expansions of several variables. One particular interesting problem is the uncertainty principles for regular domains in Euclidean spaces and various related inequalities. Another problem is polynomial approximation in the Sobolev spaces.

Stay period: OCT 2013 - MAR 2014
