1st Forum of the strategic plan 2016-2021: Future Education

 UC3M Bachelor’s degrees

This first forum we aim to reflect on one of the most relevant topics about the future of University and therefore start working towards the definition of the new Strategic Plan 2016-21. Teaching is one of the missions of the university. The digital transformation is influencing many sectors, sometimes dramatically. How must the university address these developments? Should we consider them or continue offering courses like those that we did so far? In case we decide to change, what is the correct speed to achieve it? And in what direction? Which are the models to be followed? How should we adapt them to our specific context?

MIT Professor Anant Agarwal, and edX CEO (edX is the MOOCs platform created by MIT and Harvard University the one UC3M belongs to), will present us his vision about learning in the university of the future. Then several members of our university will reflect and discuss about how education must be in our university in a future. We expect that both they and the attendees to the conference offer interesting insights. The aim is to draw our future.
