Professor Alicia Barroso Ludeña

Alicia Barroso is the Director of the Postgraduate Business School at Carlos III University of Madrid. She is Associate Professor of Marketing at the Department of Business Administration in the same university. She has a PhD in Economics from Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (CEMFI) and Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (2009). Also, she holds a M.A. in Economics and Finance from Centro de Estudios Monetarios y Financieros (2004). She has completed research stays at several internationally renowned institutions such as Harvard University, Duke University, Bocconi University and Toronto University.

Her main lines of research focus on the analysis of advertising and product portfolio as strategic decisions of companies in differentiated products markets. Her research has been characterized by its interdisciplinary approach, considering the business and economics areas, and the application of different empirical tools mainly developed in the industrial organization field. Her works have been published in leading international journals in the field of business management, such as Journal of Marketing Research, Strategic Management Journal and Research Policy.
