Professor José Luis San Román García
Dr. José Luis San Román García is Dr Industrial Engineer by the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid (UPM). He carried out a Master in Vehicle Automobile Engineering by the UPM. He has participated in more than 60 projects financed by public and private entities. As a result, he has published more than forty papers in international journals of high impact factor and has presented more than fifty oral presentations in national and international congress. In addition, he has supervised eigth thesis and published different books related to machine and vehicle safety.
Nowadays, he develops his teaching and research as Full Professor and currently is Head of Department of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Carlos III University. In addition, he is Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Vehicle Safety "Duque de Santomauro", which belongs to the Carlos III University of Madrid, and Technical Director of LABITV, laboratory which is accredited for calibration of Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection machines.
Dr. José Luis San Román research lines are metrology, vehicle safety, machine safety, noise, biomechanics and railway and vehicles.
