Professor Patricia González Aldea
She has served as a Visiting Researcher at Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD, Colombia), Trinity College, University of Dublin (Ireland), and the Faculty of Political Science and Administrative Sciences, University of Bucharest (Romania). She has also been an Erasmus visiting professor at five institutions: University of Political Sciences of Craiova (Romania), Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas (Lithuania), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland), Dostoevsky Omsk State University in Omsk (Russia), and Universidade do Porto (Portugal).
Her main research lines focus on migration and Eastern Europe, on the one hand, and media literacy, on the other. She has published more than 70 journal articles and book chapters, as well as four books, one of them in Romanian. She has participated in 11 publicly funded research projects, including four national plans, one AVANZA plan, and one European project.
She has held the position of Deputy Director of Communication in the UC3M Department of Communication and served as Erasmus Academic Coordinator for Journalism in Eastern Europe. Since 2024, she is Director of the Permanent Seminar on Gender-Based Violence at the UC3M Gender Studies Institute and is a member of Spanish Women in International Security (SWIIS).
In the field of journalism, since 2007 she has published more than 1,200 articles in leading digital media outlets.
