This year, the University has moved up one place and is ranked 319th in the world in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings, which ranks nearly 1,500 universities from over a hundred countries, and is among the top 10 Spanish institutions. It ranks 125th in Europe in the QS Europe University Rankings 2024.

In terms of teaching, the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 places UC3M among the top 100-200 in the world in five academic fields: Administration and Business, Computer Science and Information Systems, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Sociology, and Statistics and Operations Research. In postgraduate studies, the British newspaper Financial Times ranks the University 24th in the world for specialising in finance and 35th in the world for specialising in business management and administration.

Regarding employability, UC3M is among the 136 best higher education institutions in the world and in third place among Spanish public universities, according to the 13th edition of the Global University Employability Ranking and Survey (GEURS).

On the other hand, the Knowledge and Development Foundation’s CYD ranking has identified UC3M as one of the three best Spanish universities due to its overall number of performance indicators in five areas: teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and contribution to regional development. In this sense, it maintains first place in Spain for its overall performance in the latest edition of the U-Ranking, a ranking prepared by the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (Ivie, in its Spanish acronym).

Finally, THE Impact Rankings places it among the 300 best universities in the world for its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which includes the 1,591 best universities in this area. Likewise, the QS Sustainability Ranking 2024 ranks UC3M in 228th in the world for its social, environmental and governance impact.
