10/2/23
The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is joining the Spanish Network of Health Promoting Universities (REUPS, in its Spanish acronym) and celebrating Healthy Universities Week from the 2 nd to the 7th of October. This initiative aims to promote health in Spanish universities, as well as to create environments that promote people's well-being.

The programme of activities begins on Monday 2nd on the Getafe campus with the talk "Big Five: the 5 changes to transform your body and get healthy" by Boticaria García, a communicator, pharmacist, nutritionist and optical-optometrist.
During the week, organised by the Vice-Rector's Office for Cooperation, Sustainable Development and Healthy Campuses, other figures from the world of health and sport will also participate, such as water polo player Victor Gutiérrez Santiago, a UC3M alumnus, and former basketball player Juan Antonio Corbalán.
Activities will also be carried out to promote healthy habits related to nutrition, sport activity, movement, body posture, mental health and the risks of smoking and medicinal plants, among others. In addition, there will be a video and photo contest on this theme.
UC3M is committed to promoting the development of working and learning environments where improved health, well-being and sustainability are set up as strategic elements, effectively integrating them into all of the organisation's activities. To do so, it has a permanent programme of activities and healthy campuses.
