Recognition for the best marks obtained in the EvAU exams at UC3M

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) has organised a recognition ceremony for students and secondary schools with the best marks in the EvAU (University Entrance Examinations) exams taken at UC3M this academic year 2023.

At the ceremony, held on the 23rd of June in the Aula Magna of the Getafe campus, certificates of recognition were awarded to the best students who took exams at UC3M. The schools with the best marks in the compulsory block were also recognised.

The students with the three best entrance marks examined at UC3M study at IES Jaime Ferrán, attached to the Colmenarejo Campus, Legamar and IES La Senda, attached to the Leganés Campus.

The ceremony was opened by the Vice-Rector for Students, Pilar Otero, and the Deputy Vice-Rector for Access, Juan Manuel Molera. Guidance and advocacy officers, as well as members of the exam board, also attended.

During the day, the students had the opportunity to talk to University lecturers to resolve their queries about the different undergraduate studies.

EvAU results

This year, 33,739 students (15,091 male and 18,648 female students) took the general EvAU exam in the Community of Madrid. In total, 32,577 students passed, 96.56% of those who took the exam. A total of 4,829 of the 4,840 students enrolled at UC3M took the exam and 95.27% (4,511 students) passed the compulsory exam.

There are 122 centres affiliated with UC3M, divided between the Leganés (84) and Colmenarejo (38) campuses, which allows a total of 5,376 students to be examined: 3,441 students at the Leganés Campus and 1,935 at the Colmenarejo Campus.

By area of knowledge, the highest percentage of students who passed the exam corresponds to Science and Technology, with 97.57% (18,154 passes), followed by Social Sciences (95.52%, 11,068 passes), Arts (95.33%, 1,408 passes) and Humanities (93.70%, 1,947 passes).

A total of 34,396 students from all over the Community of Madrid took the voluntary exam: 31,975 A Level students and 2,421 Higher Education Training Qualification students.
