The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is presenting a new edition of its Alumni Scholarships, aimed at students with good academic records and limited financial resources who want to start their studies at UC3M next academic year 2023/24. The application period is open until 9th of June through the website.

The UC3M Alumni Scholarship Programme, which is celebrating its twelfth anniversary this academic year, represents a commitment to talent and solidarity. The programme was created in 2012 with the intention that UC3M alumni would provide new students with the same opportunity they had to study at a leading university in terms of educational quality, employability and international projection. Current UC3M students, lecturers and administrative staff, friends of the university and collaborating companies are also contributing to the programme.

Applicants must demonstrate academic merit and insufficient financial resources to afford to change their place of residence in order to study at UC3M.

The beneficiaries of each of the 12 scholarships make a dual commitment: to maintain a good academic level and to collaborate in the future so that other students can benefit from these scholarships, making contributions to the programme, when their professional situation allows it. These scholarships are awarded with 3,600 euros per academic year, which represents an increase of 20 percent compared to past editions (3,000 euros).

Since its inception, 134 scholarships have been awarded. The programme accumulates grants awarded for over 1.8 million euros, which have been funded with donations from alumni, the university community and prominent personalities, such as Matías Rodríguez Inciarte, Enrique Díaz-Tejeiro, Rosa Montero, Lorenzo Silva or Alberto Grau, among others.

In addition, UC3M partner companies and institutions have also collaborated, such as Acciona, ACM, Airbus Group, Alea Media, Altamira, Axa, Baker & McKenzie, Banco Popular, Casico, Cesya, Cát. Luis de Camoes, Coca-Cola, Deloitte, Enagas, Ericsson, Damm Foundation, Ebro Foundation, Gregorio Marañón Hospital Foundation for Biomedical Research, ONCE Foundation, Professor Uría Foundation, Ramón Areces Foundation, Urrutia Elejalde Foundation, Vass Foundation, Inditex, Indra, Ineco, Interactiva, La Caixa, Mercedes-Benz, OHL, Olmata, OTIS, Philips, PWC, Robotic Labs, SMS Quality and Volkswagen Audi-Spain.
