The UC3M is amongst the best universities worldwide in seven academic fields

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is placed amongst the best universities worldwide in seven academic fields in the latest edition of the World Subject Rankings (WSR) 2022 of the Times Higher Education (THE).
In the area of Law, the UC3M has moved up by more than fifty places in comparison to last year’s ranking and is amongst the 126-150 best institutions worldwide, according to WSR 2022 Law of the THE. In the field of Business Administration and Management, Accounting, Finances, Economics and Econometrics, the UC3M continues to rank amongst the 251-300 best international universities, according to the WSR 2022 Business and Economics of the THE.
The University has also improved its ranking for Computer Science and is ranked among the 400 best universities worldwide, according to WSR 2022 Computer Science. The UC3M also features in the Top 400 for Arts and Humanities for another year, according to WSR 2022 Arts and Humanities of the THE.
The University also holds notable positions in Social Sciences (WSR 2022 Social Sciences), being placed within the top 600 worldwide. In addition, the UC3M also holds an outstanding position worldwide (in the Top 800) in Engineering (WSR 2022 Engineering) and Physical Sciences (Top 1000), according to WSR 2022 Physical Sciences.
This classification by subject uses the same methodology as the THE’s World University Rankings. To do this, thirteen performance indicators in five important fields are analysed: teaching, research, scientific quotes, international impact, and the university’s relationship with industry (innovation). The methodology has been recalibrated to adapt to the different academic fields analysed.
