UC3M among World’s Best 500 Universities in Engineering and Technology according to 2018 Times Higher Education Engineering and Technology Ranking

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is between 401st and 500th place in the best universities in the world in Engineering and Technology, according to the Times Higher Education 2018 World University Rankings by Subject, which highlights universities that are leading education in the field of general engineering.
This ranking by subjects uses the same methodology as the World University Ranking of the THE, analyzing 13 performance indicators in five large fields: teaching, research, scientific references, international projection and the university’s relation to industry. However, in this case, the weight of the metrics was recalibrated to be adapted to the fields dealt with.
In this year’s ranking, which was expanded to 500 institutions from the 100 in the last edition, there are universities from 50 countries. In this edition, institutions from Asia predominate over North American institutions, 132 to 127. Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology, the University of Oxford, MIT and the University of Cambridge hold the top places.
