New Edition of Mentoring Program at the UC3M

Alumni Guide Students in their Degree Course

10/2/17

The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is presenting a new edition of the Mentoring Program. The goal of this initiative is for students who graduate or are at the point of doing so to be assessed by standout professionals who studied at the UC3M.

The UC3M Mentoring Program is geared to Bachelor’s degree or graduate students who are in their last or next-to-last year in the fields of Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Humanities, Sociology, Engineering, Finance or Law. Graduates who finished their degrees within the last two years will also be able to participate.

Students who participate in the Mentoring Program have the opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge, expand their network of contacts and improve different skills and abilities for their personal and professional development. Mentors also benefit from their participation. Thanks to it, they improve their communication skills, empathy and flexibility when relating to others.

In the four previous editions, more than 300 professionals participated as mentors. Those interested in participating this year (as either mentors or tutees) must register before October 15th.

The activity will consist of two periods: the first begins on November 1st and the second will commence on March 1st. Each period lasts two months, during which the mentor and tutee will set a minimum of two sessions (in-person or electronic). In these sessions, the professional will advise them about professional matters, specific training, the job market and professional careers.
