​II. Formación, docencia y líneas de investigación

Manuel Knoll es Profesor de Teoría Política y Filosofía en la Türkisch-Deutsche Universität de Estambul (Turquía). Inició su formación en la Ludwig Maxilimians Universität de Munich, donde se licenció en Filosofía, Ciencia política e Historia. Obtuvo su doctorado en Filosofía, Ciencia política e Historia con la tesis doctoral "Theodor W. Adorno. Ethik als erste Philosophie" (2000). Desde entonces, ha impartido conferencias y publicado extensamente sobre temas relacionados con la filosofía política y la ética antiguas, modernas y contemporáneas, en particular sobre las teorías de la justicia antiguas y contemporáneas, los desacuerdos profundos sobre la justicia, los valores y la moral, Platón, Aristóteles, Maquiavelo, Nietzsche, Rawls y Walzer, la filosofía social y la teoría crítica. Es autor de tres libros y 70 artículos o capítulos de libro, editor de seis volúmenes, coeditor de la serie de libros Collegium Politicum, miembro de los consejos científicos de las series de libros Staatsdiskurse (Franz Steiner), Koinos Logos (Rocco Carabba) y Cultura e Formazione (Bonanno Editore) y de las revistas ScientiaArte, Sofia Philosophical Review, Arkhe-logos, Kaıge y Etica e Politica. En 2016 recibió el Premio Lucio Colletti en el área de filosofía, Roma, Colina Capitolina.
