Description
Research group on Real Estate, Registry and Building Law (DERINRE) conducts the research, dissemination, and transfer of knowledge on Real Estate Law: The group studies Real Estate not only from the more traditional perspective —real estate contracts, building law, real property and real rights, horizontal property, property registry law, etc.),— but also addresses the relation of Real Estate to the Consumer Protection Law, vulnerable social groups, etc. and analyses the impact of disruptive technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data, on Real Estate.
The research group is part of the Private Law Department of UC3M. It was founded in 2009 and, after more than 10 years, the group has matured enough to claim more visibility and strengthen its international relevance.
This is why in 2020 the group was joined by very important researchers from national and foreign universities and from the field of legal practice. During the same period DERINRE was assigned with the “UC3M-UCL Real Estate Chair”, has created the “Jorge Caffarena lecture hall” and the “Real Estate and Smart Technology Lab” (LabDINTEC).
Last but not least, DERINRE relies on a large number of collaborators and alliances, that is indispensable to reach the goals of this group.
