Convocatoria de 5 nuevas plazas de Ayudante Doctor

The Department of Mathematics of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) seeks to recruit five Assistant Professors (with PhD) in the area of Applied Mathematics, with an expected start date in September 2025.

We are looking for candidates with a solid research record and teaching ability in areas related to Applied Mathematics. Their profile should align with or complement the Department's research lines.

Requirements:

• PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines
• Solid research history and demonstrated potential for high-impact publications
• Excellent level of English (oral and written), as teaching is conducted in English in both undergraduate and master's degrees
• Commitment to teaching excellence and active participation in the department's tasks

Contract conditions:

• Full-time contract of up to six years, according to applicable regulations
• Teaching load: up to 180 hours per academic year, including classes and supervision of final degree and master's projects
• Approximate gross base salary, with additional supplements from the university (see details in the official call)

Responsibilities:

• Teaching and coordination of subjects in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in undergraduate and master's degrees
• Conducting high-quality research and contributing to the department's scientific output
• Supervision of final degree and master's projects
• Participation in academic tasks and responsibilities of the department
