Customized courses 2015: Doing Business in Spain

6/30/24

The Carlos III International School (C3IS) at the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) organized the course Doing Business in Spain, an intensive program designed for international students interested in understanding the Spanish business environment from an economic, cultural and practical perspective.

The program, taught in English, took place from May 20 to June 5, 2015 on the Getafe Campus and was under the academic direction of Álvaro Escribano. The teaching staff, made up of Jaime del Pozo and Nora Lado, guided the participants through sessions focused on the country's economic, fiscal and monetary environment, the influence of the European Union, as well as commercial, labor, cultural and regional aspects relevant to doing business in Spain. Sustainability issues in the Spanish business context were also addressed.

The course not only allowed students to acquire tools to identify opportunities and challenges in the field of business in Spain, but also fostered their personal growth through reflection on their academic and cultural experience.
