On March 3, 2025, the Carlos III International School (C3IS) of the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) received an institutional visit from representatives of ten American universities, in an event organized in collaboration with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE).

Among the participating institutions were universities of great prestige such as Columbia University, Cornell University, University of Texas at Austin, Georgetown University, Northeastern University and University of Iowa, among others.
During the day, the visitors toured the Getafe and Leganés campuses, where they learned first-hand about the academic offerings of UC3M, its international programs and the resources available to foreign students. Special attention was paid to key aspects such as support for international students, admission requirements and the possibility of collaboration in joint educational programs.
The event was attended by Álvaro Escribano, director of the C3IS, and Elisa María Ruiz Navas, director of Engineering programs and coordinator of the Research Labs, who led the meetings and presentations.
The C3IS emphasized the importance of this type of visit in strengthening international cooperation and consolidating UC3M as a leading academic destination for students from the United States.
The meeting ended with a positive exchange of ideas and the exploration of new opportunities for collaboration between UC3M and the visiting universities, reaffirming the institution's commitment to internationalization and educational excellence.
