UC3M welcomes its new international students at the Welcome Event
1/17/25
Next Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Carlos III International School (C3IS) of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) will celebrate its long-awaited Welcome Event, a day designed to welcome new international students on their first day as part of the university community. The event will take place in the Auditorium of the Leganés Campus and will feature a program full of activities designed to facilitate integration and the beginning of this new academic stage.
The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a meeting point where attendees will receive welcome merchandising. Later, at 11:00, the main event will take place, in which Álvaro Escribano, director of the Carlos III International School, will officially welcome the students. During the event, representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America and Loles Morell, director of the Carlos III International School Office, will also present the services and resources available to students. Guillermo Díaz, Recruitment Coordinator, will close this part of the program with a presentation on the practical aspects of university life. Everything will be enlivened with a surprise show.
At 12:00, attendees will enjoy a welcome cocktail, a perfect time to relax, get to know their new colleagues and start forging connections in a relaxed atmosphere. To ensure everyone's food safety, the allergen menu of the products offered will be published soon.
The day will end with a Buddy meeting, from 12:45 to 13:45, where new students will have the opportunity to meet their mentors. These peers, with more experience at UC3M, will guide them and help them adapt to university life, resolving doubts and sharing practical advice.
The Welcome Event is a tradition that reflects UC3M's commitment to the internationalization and well-being of its students. This event seeks not only to provide useful information, but also to create a warm and welcoming environment for those who begin this new academic stage far from home.
