Universidad Carlos III de Madrid offers various SPOCs (Small Private Online Courses) to members of the university community. There are currently two types of SPOCs: courses aimed at students of certain subjects that offer complementary materials and activities, and Zero Courses, designed for students who are about to enter the University. These courses are available on the Open edX platform, installed by UC3M, and use MOOC technology to contribute to the enhancement of traditional learning.
For the subjects in which they are offered, SPOCs provide access to audiovisual and textual material and a variety of activities that complement, reinforce or expand their content. In many cases, they allow you to follow the flipped classroom teaching model, in which more class time is dedicated to enhancing aspects of learning such as practical activities, resolving doubts and case studies.
