Training

UC3M, aware of the need to support the members of our community with the appropriate training in AI, especially generative AI, offers teaching and research staff a series of training activities. Our aim is to accompany you on the path that is opening up to us with this type of tool, exploiting its immense possibilities and maintaining exemplary ethics.

GUIDES AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Guide of recommendations for teaching with Generative Artificial Intelligences (June 2023)

With the aim of offering a quick and motivating response to the challenge posed by the emergence of this technology for higher education, UC3M was one of the first Spanish universities to offer this type of guide in June 2023. Here it is, as it was published, in Spanish.

Recommendations for teaching with generative artificial intelligences

Recommendations of Generative AI working groups in teaching at UC3M (March 2024)

During the first four months of the academic year 2023/2024, seven working groups formed by teachers and students from different knowledge areas have worked to think over the right use of Generative AI in their teaching, ending up offering recommendations, both general and personalised to their topics, for our teaching at UC3M.

If you are working at UC3M, here you can access the document of the area you are interested in (Report), and the file that was used to present the conclusions of the group (Presentation). All of them are in Spanish, except where an English version is indicated as available.

TRAINING

Since September 2023, the SPOC online course "Generative Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom: Opportunities and Challenges" (in Spanish) is available to teaching staff, with the idea of helping in the task of incorporating Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) into teaching practice in an effective, ethical and creative way.

It takes 4-5 hours to complete and can be followed at your own pace. It provides detailed recommendations for creating teaching content with Generative AI, or in how to assist in the design of subjects or assessment activities. Ethical and copyright implications are also addressed.
