Description:
Join us, through images and audiovisuals, on an underground journey through some of the most mysterious catacombs in the world. Discover the concept of the catacomb (one of the most interesting forms of ancient architecture in the Mediterranean) and how they became very popular in the 19th and 20th centuries in Europe and the New World. In this talk you will get to know many houses, museums, theaters and cemeteries built and decorated as catacombs in many countries of the world, from Spain to the United States, passing through Holland, France, Italy, Ukraine or Cuba, among others (almost unknown and under investigation). Delve with us into the fascinating environment of the catacombs and you will learn about the worldwide impact they had on a cultural level in the last two hundred years.
