Research stay at UC3M: DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

Project: Study asymptotic properties and distribution of zeros of general Chebyshev type extremal polynomials associated with the usual Lp-norm on compact subsets of the real line endowed with Borel measures.

Investigate the relationship between optimal polynomial meshes and Gaussian-type cubature formulas on convex sets in the d-space.

Explore the methods of multivariate orthogonal polynomials and extremal multivariate polynomial inequalities in order to obtain new exact Markov and Bernstein type inequalities for multivariate polynomials in L2 norm.

Stay Period: JAN 12 - JUN 13
