Pierangelo Schiera - Universitá degli Studi di Trento (ITALY)

Pierangelo Schiera earned his PhD in History of Political Thought. His undergraduate degree is in Law from the Catholic University of Milan. He is Professor Emeritus of History of Political Thought at the University of Trento, Italy. Prior to that, he held teaching appointments at Humboldt University of Berlin, the universities of Paris, Munich, Bologna, Wolfenbüttel and Milan. Dr. Schiera has over 340 publications in different languages, including monographs, articles and reviews, among them are Seteccento, Annale ISAP, Scienza & Politica or Annali ISIG. He has been a member and coordinator of the Scientific Board of the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (MART) of Trento and Rovereto since its founding, Special Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin, and Scientific Coordinator of the German-Italian Historical Institute in Trento.

Research stay at UC3M: CRIMINAL LAW, PROCEDURAL LAW AND HISTORY LAW DEPARTMENT

Project: Governance between public and private. Governance between global and local. The evolution from government to governance in the crisis of modern State: towards a new form of legitimacy of power, and eventually of politics too. A historicalconstitutional trend that finds its roots in the pluralistic conditions of Middle Ages and its perspectives in a new interdisciplinary manner in considering social sciences.
