Michele Midrio

Michele Midrio - Universitá degli Studi di Udine (ITALY)

Michele Midrio studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Padua, Italy, and has a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the same university.

Currently he is Professor of Electromagnetism in the School of Engineering at the University of Udine. His other teaching positions have been at the University of Padua, the University of Osaka, the University of Dijon and at Macquarie University, Sydney. His research work centers on the propagation of waves through optic fiber, integrated circuits and low-capacity antennae.

During his career he has taken part in almost fifty conferences and has written many articles specializing in Electronics. In addition, he is the author or coauthor of a number of specialized books on Electronics.

His work earned him the Philip Morris Prize, and he was a research fellow in fiber optic communications, a research fellow in laser at the Ugo Bordoni Foundation and a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Padua.
