Rodolfo Rubén Rosales

 
 

Rodolfo Rubén Rosales - Massachussets Institute of Technology (USA)

Rodolfo Ruben Rosales earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the California Institute of Technology, one of the world’s leading scientific institutions. He received his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina.

He is currently Professor of Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and previously held a teaching position at the University of California, Berkeley and the position of Research Assistant Professor at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University.

Dr Rosales' research interests include fluid dynamics, nonlinear waves, and numerical partial and differential equations. He has published over 50 scientific articles.

He served as Chair of the Applied Mathematics Committee from 2002 to 2006.

RESEARCH STAY AT UC3M: MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

PROJECT: Collaboration with the Universidad Carlos III Mathematical Engineering Program on pattern formation in bacteria aggregation, following the model proposed by J. Neu et al. Establishing collaboration in the field of dynamics of optical injection of charge and spin currents in quantum wells. The aim is to find a reliable numeric method for solving a problem of Semiconductor Physics.
