Professor Jerónimo Arenas García

Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and PhD from the Universidad Carlos III, he has developed his research work in several prestigious international institutions, including a postdoctoral stay at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and other collaborations with universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Brazil and the Barcelona Super Computing Center in Spain. He is currently Professor of Signal Theory and Communications, and Head of Department.

His research interests are in the field of machine learning and natural language processing, with special focus on semantic analysis of text collections and feature extraction using multivariate analysis and kernel methods. He has co-authored numerous publications in JCR journals and conference papers, and led numerous research and technology transfer projects in these lines.
